Technical Consultant

JD Edwards development activities were mostly project related including:

Custom Modifications Design and Construction, Based on design specifications provided by senior consulting staff modified existing software and built new subsystems tailored to client requirements. These included Sub file, batch update and batch report programs. New programs were built using the JDE World Case tool set to generate videos, reports, physical and logical files, CL and RPG programs (both batch and interactive). Applications modified included Sales Order Processing, Inventory, Purchasing, Advanced Pricing and Address Book. Provided detailed issue of logs and feedback regarding the validity of the design approach taken to meet business requirements. Created client reports using DREAM Writer and World Writer.

Software Conversion and Interfaces. Built new programs to convert client legacy data to JD Edwards database. Used JD Edwards’s common routines (such as Address Book Validation, unit of measure conversion, decimal places, date validation, data dictionary) to verify data integrity. Wrote batch report programs to identify problem areas. Extensive use of Dream Writer facilities throughout.

Software Versions Upgrade and Install

Upgraded And modified source to new versions of JD Edwards’s software. Retrofitted modified source and applied paper fixes where necessary. Responsible for synchronizing release versions of heavily modified source in multiple environments.
